Two million euros invested in fashion in the last year, a three-year investment plan exceeding five million, and a clear development model: north-eastern Italy becomes Bracchi’s fashion and lifestyle hub..

During 2023, two million euros were invested in various projects: new transport vehicles, including last-mile vehicles, shelves to optimise workflows, software and computerised warehouse management processes.

Today, Bracchi’s Fashion department works with the most renowned Italian excellences, collections that must be protected from safety to quality, up to secrecy and protection of creativity. At the same time, the outsourced logistics model that Bracchi proposes guarantees independence and provides a sartorial service, capable of following the fashion season and its needs from the initial ironing and reconditioning phase to delivery to individual retailers throughout Europe.

There are five Bracchi fashion hubs. The two spaces completely dedicated to the fashion world are those in Tombolo, in the Padua area, and Oppeano, in the Verona area. But there are also the hubs of Castrezzato, in the Brescia area, and Bassano del Grappa and Lonigo in the Vicenza area, which have a substantial part of their activities in the fashion and lifestyle sector.

“The big fashion brands are looking for personnel specialised in garment reconditioning, and demand now exceeds supply,” explains Matteo Vaccari, Courier Business Unit Director at Bracchi. “During the winter season, we deliver parcels and hanging garments directly to the ski slopes. There is a growing demand for deliveries of hanging garments, especially abroad, where waste disposal rates are very high (especially for cartons and packaging). Everything is done with a green logic, therefore. Particularly interesting is the activity carried out to handle specialised deliveries for large ecommerce players; in total, 1,200,000 shipments were handled during the year.”

Deliveries to city centres with a precise time slot are important, as well as deliveries with a tail lift and porterage. Particularly at this time of year, deliveries to high-mountain boutiques and ski school chalets should be mentioned (among others, the spectacular winter mountain boutiques Megève, Chamonix, La Vallè, Val D’Isere, Courchevel). Sometimes it is right in the middle of the ski slopes, where luxury clothing boutiques are also open.

Speaking of exclusive locations, interesting are the activities in outlets, such as in Noventa di Piave or at Mcarthurglen Douains in France (for the latter, for example, transpallets with ‘white wheels’, the wheels that leave no trace, are required to bring in boutiques and shops).

But huge is also the challenge of moving around airports. For example, in France, at Charles De Gaulle you need a licence and insurance to cross the runway for duty free loads.
